Not all applications are approved but the story doesn’t always have to end there. Following a refusal of permission by Waverley Borough Council, D&M Planning Ltd are delighted to have received an allowed appeal for the conversion of an existing annexe to a self-contained dwelling in Blackheath Village. The Council refused the proposal on the basis of the sustainability of location, however, Matt was able to convince the Inspector that the benefits of the scheme outweighed any such harm and would help to provide much needed housing in the borough.
Since this appeal there have been changes to the appeal system but such decisions still clearly show the benefits of engaging with professional planning practice. Please do not hesitate to contact if you wish to discuss.
