D&M Planning have successfully achieved planning permission for a significant extension in the London Borough of Sutton.
The application site is within an identified character area wherein policies seek to resist substantial development.
The extension would more than double the size of the host dwelling and include a part single storey projection, a two storey extension and roof extension including dormer. The proposal also includes a basement which would house a swimming pool and spa facilities.
The application, first submitted to the Council in 2019, was met with resistance, however, following successful negotiations with officers the application has been fully approved with only a handful of conditions.
