Extension to Residential Garden and Curtilage in Godalming

D&M Planning have helped secure permission to allow for the increase in size of the residential garden on to former highway amenity land. The land in question formed a green buffer to the road network typical of 1980s development schemes. The older cottage directly bordered this land which was overgrown and causing nuisance to the occupiers. The application proposed to partially enclose this space and bring it within the curtilage of the existing property enhancing the amount of space available and providing opportunities for subsequent extensions and operations.

Although on the face of it a relatively small proposal, it was not without it challenges and by working closely with officers at the Council permission was granted for this unusual proposal.
