New winery and event space for leading English wine maker

D&M Planning were approached by the appointed architect to assist with an application to provide extensions and alterations to an existing barn alongside a new store. The result of the works provide additional space for an on site winery and event space for leading English wine producer, Davenport Wines, who grow their own grapes and apples across this site and others in the South East and produce organic, award winning red, white and sparkling wines. The new facility will allow the business to expand and thrive.
D&M Planning successfully argued that the development was entirely suitable for the highly sensitive High Weald AONB, outside of a defined settlement, and that it was entirely suitable for the agricultural use. This involved working closely with Davenport Wines to explore their business proposals and the architect to provide a development that they can grow into as they expand.
The application was fully supported by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Horsmonden Parish Council.
