D&M secure alterations to Bracknell Forest LDF Core Strategy
November 2007

Following representations and appearances by Colin Meade at the LDF Core Strategy Examination in June/July 2007, the Inspector has agreed with D&M Planning that the precise delineation of the settlement boundary of Crowthorne and an appropriate site specific policy for the Hospital Estate should be the subject of the next round of DPD's and not be fixed at the Core Strategy stage.

She also agreed that it was inappropriate for the Hospital to be included within Strategic Gap Policy and has now deleted this from the Estate. -

D&M secure Planning Permission for a new 4,000 sq ft detached dwelling in Dockenfield
November 2007

Planning permission has been obtained for the replacement of a builder’s yard in Dockenfield, Surrey, with a 4,000 sq ft detached dwelling. The Council was convinced that the proposed new dwelling would result in an environmental improvement over the existing builder’s yard. The scheme will result in significant improvements in the amenity of the area and for neighbouring properties. The D&M Planning Partnership were assisted by a report from commercial agents, Wadham and Isherwood, to show that there was no longer a justification for the retention of the employment site. -

D&M secure Planning Permission for new hotel at Adhurst St. Mary
November 2007

The D&M Planning Partnership has secured planning permission for extensions and alterations at Adhurst St. Mary near Petersfield, to provide a new 46 bedroom country hotel and 12 new dwellings. The house, once the family seat of the Bonham-Carter estate, is a large Victorian listed building which is in great need of repair. The Council was satisfied that the proposed enabling works would facilitate the restoration and maintenance of this listed building. -

D&M wins appeal at Ashpark Brickworks
September 2007

In March 2005, permission was secured from Chichester District Council to retain and refurbish the former brickworks buildings for B1 and specific B8 uses. Following an appearance by Colin Meade at a Local Hearing, the Inspector allowed the appeal to quash the restrictive nature of the B8 condition thus successfully widening the marketability of the site. -

D&M secure Planning Permission for 2 new dwellings at Mark End, Mark Way, Godalming
September 2007

Planning permission has been secured at appeal for the erection of 2 substantial, 6,000 square feet dwellings following the demolition of the existing dwelling at Mark End, Mark Way, Godalming. The permission follows an extensive planning history for the replacement of the existing dwelling with various forms of flatted developments and houses. Whilst the site lies within the urban area of Godalming, it also lies within an area of high constraint where the Council has always been concerned with potential impact on views of the Godalming Hillsides. -

D&M wins Outline Planning Permission at Appeal for 10 dwellings at Cleves School, Walton.
August 2007

The Outline Planning Permission is for the erection of 10 dwellings, a mix of flats and houses, on former school playing fields. It was established that the land was surplus to the schools requirements. -

D&M wins appeal for 6 houses at Effingham
August 2007

Planning permission has been granted at appeal for the erection of 6 dwellings following the demolition of one dwelling on land in Effingham. The Inspector considered the scale and density of the development to be acceptable contrary to the Borough Council. - Click for more >

D&M secure Planning Permission for the conversion of Moor Park House, Farnham
July 2007

Planning permission has been secured for the conversion of Moor Park House, Farnham, to 13 dwellings together with the erection of 11 new dwellings as enabling development. Waverley Borough Council resolved to approve planning permission and Listed Building Consent for the proposed development, contrary to policies of constraint within the countryside, because of the case presented for enabling development. - Click for more >
