D&M achieve planning permission for Class B1 (Business) / B8 (Storage and Distribution) building within the Green Belt

The London Borough of Hounslow has granted planning permission for the redevelopment of a commercial site for a Use Class B1 (Business) / B8 (Storage and Distribution) building related to airport security. The site lies within the Green Belt and a Nature Conservation Area and is also adjacent to a Public Safety Zone for low flying aircraft.

The Council agreed that very special circumstances did exist which outweighed any perceived harm to the Green Belt. Indeed, members of the Committee agreed that the proposal would have a positive impact upon the character, appearance and openness of the Green Belt.
