D&M wins appeal for a detached four bedroom dwelling in Godalming

The D&M Planning Partnership has been successful in winning a Planning Appeal for a detached, four bedroomed house on the Bargate Wood Estate on the outskirts of Godalming.

The Inspector agreed with D&M Planning that the proposed house and the sub-division of the curtilage was in keeping with the area and did not harm the street scene of the estate. The Inspector also agreed that the new dwelling did not harm the red oak, the subject of a Tree Preservation Order. The Inspector also agreed that the Council’s request for Education contributions could not be justified in this particular case.
