D&M secure Planning Permission for Class B8 Self Storage Facility

Planning application approved for the removal of an existing 4 storey Class B1 (Business) and single storey Class B2 (General Industrial) building and the construction of a 6,000 square metre Class B8 Self Storage Facility and 11.6 metre high electricity generating wind turbine in Basingstoke.

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council found that the development, which was considered to be both striking in size and elevational detail, would provide a beneficial re-use of an existing commercial site and that the wind turbine would contribute to the building's energy requirements.
